Alexander County COVID-19 Update

The Alexander County Health Department has reported that 134 people are in quarantine with COVID-19. The number in quarantine includes approximately 60 inmates and four employees at the Alexander Correctional Institution.

Twenty-six (26) people are in the hospital.

There have been 12 deaths associated with the virus.

Of the 1,097 total cases, 925 people have recovered.

Citizens are encouraged to continue practicing the 3 Ws: wear a face covering when in public, wait six feet apart, and wash your hands.
