For the second straight day, Alexander County has added a COVID-19 death.
On Wednesday, the Alexander County Health Department confirmed the 90th COVID associated death since the beginning of the pandemic. Another 38 cases were counted on Wednesday.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is reporting that an Alexander County congregate living facility has an outbreak of COVID-19 Cases. The facility is not named but has 10 cases among residents.
At this time the Alexander County Health Department is scheduling appointments for the Pfizer vaccine for persons age 12 and older and the Moderna vaccine for persons age 18 and older.
