Alexander County Couple Busted For Meth Trafficking In Catawba County

A man and woman from Alexander County were arrested overnight on felony drug trafficking charges.

30-year old Samantha Marie Vono of Taylorsville and 32-year old Anthony James Miller of Stony Point were taken into custody by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.

Samantha Marie Vono

Vono is charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000. A court appearance is scheduled for today in Newton.

Anthony James Miller

Miller is charged with felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $150,000. A court appearance is scheduled for today in Newton.
