Kayne Lavance Alford-Bruce
On September 12th, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office apprehended 21-year-old Kanye Lavance Alford-Bruce and charged him with 17 counts of Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, 3 counts of Attempted Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, 3 counts of Larceny of a Firearm, 7 counts of Larceny and a single count of Larceny of a Motor Vehicle. His bond at that time was set for $350,000. Sheriff Chad Pennell said that the investigation was ongoing, and additional charges were expected. Investigators believe Bruce was part of a group connected to vehicle break-ins across multiple jurisdictions.
Since the initial arrest a long list of additional charges have been filed. The suspect’s bond has been increased to $667,500.
Bruce was scheduled to appear in Caldwell County District Court on Monday on charges of felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
