Assistants on the East squad include Steve Burdeau of Lee County, Nate Conner of D.H. Conley, Cory Johnson of Clinton, Jeff Morehead of Terry Sanford, and Scott Riley of Cleveland.

The East-West All-Star Football Game will be played in December, the weekend after the N.C. High School Athletic Association state championships. Historically, the game has been played in July in conjunction with the NCCA Coaches Clinic and all-star games in basketball and soccer.
