Alexander Central traveled to Morganton Friday night for the regular season finale against Freedom
Varsity Women

The Lady Cougars snapped a four game losing streak behind 27 points from Meredith Wike. The freshman went 10 f 11 from the free-throw line, 7 of 12 from the field (3-7 from three) and pulled down 11 rebounds. Sydney Hayes added 11 points and 9 boards.
The win pushes AC to 18-6 and 4-6 in Northwestern Conference play. Freedom drops to 12-11 and 3-7.
Varsity Men

The host team never trailed and clinched the regular season crown in the conference. Freedom was up 18-11 after the opening period and 35-19 at half.
Amore Connelly led Freedom with 27 points. Grayson Presnell and Carter Fortner topped the Cougar scoring with 12 each.
ACHS finishes second in the conference with a record of 16-7 and 7-3. Freedom at 19-4 and 9-1 will be the #1 seed in the league tournament that begins next week.
