Alexander Central Women Defeat Watauga

Alexander Central defeated Watauga in women’s varsity basketball on Wednesday.

The Lady Cougars trailed by 7 points late in the first quarter before outscoring the visitors from Boone by 15 in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Chesney Stikeleather led ACHS with 18 points. Nikki Hagy had 15 points and 12 rebounds, Gracie Harrington added 13 points.

The win improves the Alexander Central record to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in Northwestern Conference play.
