Alexander Central Women Cruise Over Maiden

The #1 seeded Lady Cougars routed the #8 seed Maiden on Tuesday in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic Tournament on Tuesday in Hickory.

Freshman point guard Malayah Adams led Alexander Central with 13 points. Hallie Jarrett added 12 and Madison Brashear totaled 11 points off the bench. The win improves ACHS to 10-0. They will battle the #4 seed South Caldwell in round II today at 6pm. South downed Fred T Foard 61-32 on Tuesday in round I.
