Congratulations to Alexander Central High School’s Scottie Cook. He received a Harbor Freight Tools for Schools award today for $50,000 !
Cook was the only teacher in North Carolina schools to be selected.
He’s an Agricultural Mechanics teacher and received $35,000 for his school’s program and $15,000 for himself. A total of $1.5 million was awarded today to 25 public high school skilled trades teachers and their programs across the United States.
“I’m passionate about creating a learning environment where students walk away with more than technical know-how, they gain real-world skills that make them employable and ready for whatever comes next.’’ Cook said.
