The Lady Panthers led at half 21-20. Alexander Central ruled the third period 20-9 and it was the difference.
ACHS was led by freshman Meredith Wike with 17 points. Kirstyn Herman contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds while Hallie Jarrett finished with 10 points. The Lady Cougars went 11 of 15 from the free throw line and 6 of 10 from behind the three-point arc.
Katie Story paced Hibriten with 20 points. Hibriten drops to 3-1 in Northwestern Conference play and 16-2 overall.
AC improves to 2-2 in the league and 15-2.

A tough battle between league foes in Lenoir saw Alexander Central emerge 40-38. The game was tight but featured only one lead change. Avery Cook led AC with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jenner Barnes was big off the bench with 8.
Nylan Battle led the Panthers with 17.
The Cougars are 3-1 in the conference action and 11-5. Hibriten falls to 1-3 and 8-9.
