The Lady Cougars forced 28 turnovers enroute to a win over the Lady Spartans. AC turned a 16-15 lead after the first quarter into a 31-20 advantage at half. Alexander Central shot only 37 percent to Central’s 44 percent but ACHS took 61 shots compared to the home team’s 25. Sydney Hayes led the Lady Cougars with 19, Malayah Adams contributed 13 and Kirstyn Herman finished with 11. Alexander Central jumps to 8-0 while Central Davidson drops to 5-3.

Luke Staten outscored the Cougars 24-23. The Spartan guard made 5 three-point baskets which is five more than the Cougars had on the night. The Blue and Gold went 0 of 12 from behind the arc and shot a woeful 24 percent overall. No Cougar hit double digits in scoring in the disappointing performance by Alexander Central who drops to 5-3. Central Davidson is 7-1.
