Alexander Central Softball Shuts Down Weddington

The Lady Cougars shut out the visitors from Mecklenburg County on Thursday in Taylorsville.

Faith Carrigan pitched a 3-hit shutout. She struck out 12 Warriors and allowed only one walk.

Payton Price went 2-3 and drove in a run. Chesney Stikeleather knocked in a run along with Anna Jordan. Kaylin Marlowe had a pair of hits and scored a run.

AC will advance to Round III on Tuesday, May 17th. They will host Charlotte Providence who defeated AC Reynolds 5-0. Game time is 6pm at Central Park.
