The Alexander Central Softball team opened their 2023 season with an 11-1 thumping of AC Reynolds Wednesday evening in Taylorsville.
The Lady Cougars plated 5 runs in the opening inning and added 2 more in both the second and third frames. Laney Russell led AC with 3 runs batted in. Kenzie Church hit a homer and collected 2 RBI. Alyssa Chapman also knocked in a pair.
Laney Wike and Macy Law combined in the circle allowing a single run on 3 hits in a game called after 5 innings.
