Alexander Central Softball Marches On To Round IV

West #1 4A seed Alexander Central has advanced with a 4-1 victory over Providence on Tuesday in Taylorsville.

The Cougar Spending Time With The Girls

Faith Carrigan pitched a 3 hitter and struck out 11 enroute to her 22nd win of the year.

The Lady Cougars scored single runs in the 1st and 2nd on hits from Kirstyn Herman and Abby Teague. Kenzie Church hit a two-run laser over the left-centerfield wall in the 4th inning.

Providence plated their lone run in the 4th on a homer by catcher Maddy Mateo.

Alexander Central is 25-2 and will host Round IV action on Friday against East Forsyth who beat Mooresville 4-2.
