Alexander Central led 4-0 going to the 6th and erupted for 7 runs. Freedom picked up their lone tally of the game in the home half of the inning.
Kara Hinkle went the distance allowing 3 hits and a run. She struck out 7. Kenzie Church went 2-3 and drove in 3, Peyton Price had 3 hits and had 2 runs batted in.
Alexander Central improves to 14-0 and 5-0 in Northwestern Conference play. AC is ranked #1 in the maxpreps.com North Carolina poll. Freedom is now 2-12 and 0-5.
