Were it a prize fight, it would have been stopped earlier. Alexander Central blasted Watauga 16-0 in a game that was called after 5 innings in Boone.

Kara Hinle got the start in the circle and allowed only 2 hits in the shutout. She struck out 6. The Lady Cougars collected 15 hits led by catcher Kirstyn Herman who went 4-4. Faith Carrigan who played first base went 2-3 and drove in 3 runs, Peyton Price and Kenzie Church both went 2-3 and drove in 2 runs. Anna Jordan also had two rbi.

Alexander Central is 11-0 and 2-0 in Northwestern Conference play.
