Alexander Central Softball Beats South Caldwell

The Lady Cougars scored twice in the 7th to win in Sawmills in a battle between two of the premiere softball programs in the state.

The game was knotted at 3 heading into the final frame. AC managed just 4 hits but they took advantage of 8 walks issued by Spartan pitcher Kadie Becker.

Ava Chapman slugged a two-run homer for ACHS. Laney Wike picked up the win for Alexander Central going the final 3.2 innings allowing no runs on 2 hits.

The Lady Cougars improve to 3-0 in the Northwestern Conference and 8-3 overall. The loss drops South Caldwell to 2-1 and 7-2
