ACHS dominated Watauga for their 12th straight win on Tuesday in Boone. Watauga led 1-0 when the Cougars came to bat in the 4th inning. AC scored three times and added four more in the 5th. Watauga hurt their cause with 3 errors leading to 5 unearned Cougar runs. Maddox Jack got the win going 5 innings and allowing a run on two hits. Jack had a pair of runs batted in as well, going 2 of 4. The win puts Alexander Central at 16-4 for the season and 7-0 in the Northwestern Conference.

A trio of Alexander Central pitchers allowed Watauga one hit as the Lady Cougars won in Boone 15-0. The game was called after 5 innings. Kenzie Church had 4 runs batted in for AC. The Lady Cougars have won 10 straight and are 13-3 overall with a 7-0 record in Northwestern Conference play.
Men’s Golf
Alexander Central won the league match at Cedar Rock Country Club in Lenoir. AC scored a 319 to defeat second-place Freedom’s 326. Aidan Hollar led the Cougars with a 76.
