The threat of a tropical storm on Friday has moved the Alexander Central at Ashe County game to this evening.
The Cougars are 2-3 and have lost their last three by a combined score of 127-17 against three very strong foes, AC Reynolds, Lake Norman, and Marvin Ridge.
Ashe County has averaged 31.4 points per game going 2-3. Their issue has been the Huskie defense giving up 38 points per contest.
Ashe County features a passing attack led by QB Blake Peters and WR Ian Graybeal.
Alexander Central won last fall in Taylorsville 42-36 in overtime.
The conference opener will kick-off at 7:30 in West Jefferson. The Countdown to Cougar Kickoff airs at 6:30 on B86 Radio and online at 860wacb.com
