A pair of clutch Grayson Presnell three-point baskets in the 4th quarter sent the Cougars to a win in the first round game of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Holiday Basketball Tournament in Hickory on Tuesday afternoon.
AC trailed by a point with 4:11 remaining but the Cougars took over. Presnell had 12 points and 8 assists. Avery Cook paced the Cougar scoring with 25 points including 5 of 10 from behind the three-point arc. Chad Lasher led in rebounds with 10. Dalton Pyatte and Noah Van Beurden led the Indians with 10 points each. AC improves to 7-3 and will face 8-1 Hickory who drubbed Fred T Foard 74-30 earlier in the day.
