Alexander Central beat the visitors from Eastern North Carolina on Saturday in Taylorsville. Caleb Williams went 5 innings for the win allowing 1 run, 1 hit, 1 walk and striking out 9. Sophomore Maddox Jack got the save pitching two innings and allowing only 1 hit. Williams also plated a pair of runs with a double. Mason Chapman-Mays went 4-4 and scored twice for the Cougars who improve to 2-0.
