Alexander Central And South Caldwell Split Games Friday Night

Alexander Central 48 South Caldwell 38

Hudson: Alexander Central led from start to finish in a Northwestern Conference game Friday night.

The Lady Cougars forced 21 South turnovers in the win that improves their record to 18-4 and 4-4 in league play.

Kirstyn Herman’s 18 points was tops for ACHS. Meredith Wike added 16 and Malayah Adams contributed 12.

Lillie Bumgarner’s 20 points paced South who drops to 9-13 and 0-8.

Varsity Men

The Spartans recovered from down 40-35 after three periods to get the win.

The free-throw line was crucial for the Spartans going 13 of 15 compared to AC’s 6 of 13.

Caleb Greene led South with 15 points and Connor Setzer added 12.

The leading Cougars were Chad Lasher with 16 and Jayon Connor’s 13.

With the win, South Caldwell improves to 16-6 and 7-1. The Cougars slide to 8-14 and 2-6.

Boys: South Caldwell 46 Alexander Central 41…Jahmir Miller 11 pts
