Alexander Central Director of Athletics Nathan Robinson has announced that “Due to a close contact exposure that we were alerted of Wednesday, the Varsity Men’s Basketball team has been placed under a two week quarantine. During the next two weeks we have multiple games that are now postponed and we hope to be able to schedule make up dates for all the games that will be impacted. “
ACHS Principal Gordon Palmer commented “This is a very unfortunate situation that our Varsity Men’s Basketball team is going through. Once we were notified of the exposure, we evaluated the situation and have implemented the protocols issued both locally and by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.”
The following Alexander Central Men’s Basketball games have been postponed
Jan. 22nd vrs Hickory
Jan. 26th vrs South Caldwell
Jan. 27th vrs Watauga
Feb. 02nd vrs Watauga
Makes-up dates have yet to be determined.
The Alexander Central vrs Hickory JV games will be played in Taylorsville on Friday, January 22nd as scheduled with girls beginning at 4:30 pm and the boys at 6pm.
