Man Charged With Statutory Rape In Burke County

21-year-old Branden Lee McCall of Connelly Springs was arrested Friday, June 4th by Burke County Sheriff’s Deputies and charged with felony statutory rape of a person 15-years-old or younger.

On June 3rd, Burke County Sheriff’s Office Detectives began an investigation of a possible statutory rape of a child under the age of 15. After conducting interviews, the Sheriff’s Office arrested McCall. The arrest was made at 1:20 a.m. Friday. McCall was placed in the Burke County Jail under $200,000 secured bond. His next District Court date is June 18.
