An elderly woman had her vehicle stolen at gunpoint earlier today in the parking lot of Valley Hills Mall in Hickory.
The woman says she was parked when a man showed a handgun and took her car keys. The victim is reported to be over the age of 80.
Hickory Police say the car is a 2001 burgundy Buick Century.
The suspect was wearing a mask over his face with a hoodie.
A media report indicates there is no video that shows the incident taking place despite a number of cameras located in the parking lot of the mall.
