Wittenburg Elementary’s Mayberry Nominated For NC Head Start Teacher Of The Year

Congratulations to Wittenburg Elementary’s Mila Mayberry. She has been nominated for the NC Head Start Teacher of the year. All nominees will be recognized (winner announced) on March 12th during the NC Head Start Association Conference/banquet in Raleigh.

Mayberry is a 1997 graduate ACHS, 1999 graduate CVCC Associate of Arts, 2001 graduate of Appalachian State University with a BS degree in Social Work minor psychology. She began working as a Head Start teacher assistant in 2021 and was promoted to lead teacher at WES October 2022.
