Wilkes Man Convicted Of Statutory Sex Offense With A Child

A Wilkes County man will serve a minimum of 14 years in prison after a guilty plea in court last week.

Alan Randolph Steele

59 year old Alan Randolph Steele of the State Road Community confessed to six counts of first degree statutory sex offense with a child last week in Wilkes County Superior Court. The judge sentenced Steele to 14-22 years in prison.

Steele was arrested in December of 2017 by the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Department. The victim in the case was reported to a 10 year old male.
