Wilkes County Teacher Resigns After Arrest For Felony Child Abuse

A Wilkes County teacher has resigned after being charged with felony child abuse by the Jonesville Police Department.

Adam Hal Cave, age 38 of Jonesville, was arrested on Monday on the campus of East Wilkes High School where he was employed as a teacher.

The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office served the Jonesville Police warrant for felony child abuse. The charges are not related to any activity on campus. Cave was taken to the Yadkin County Detention Center and has been released on bond.
 
Cave has resigned from his position with Wilkes County Schools. He had been employed with the school system for 15 years.
