Wilkes County Man Gets Minimum 25 Years After Admitting To A Pair Of Murders

A man was given 25 years to 31 years in prison in Wilkes County Superior Court on Tuesday. 22-year-old Allison Eduardo Martinez pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Martinez was arrested on January 2nd, 2024 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder for an incident that occurred the night before in the Cricket community.

The victims were identified as Darwin Joel Aplicano, 30, and Milton Eduardo Lopez age 21. Both were shot at an apartment on Boone Trail. A third man was wounded but survived.

Martinez was apprehended in Virginia the following day.
