The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office has charged a North Wilkesboro man with assault after an incident that happened following a high school baseball game.

The game was played on Friday, April 12, at Forbush High School against North Wilkes High School. According to the Wilkes County School District, North Wilkes High School’s baseball coach, Logan Johnson, was assaulted.

Authorities identified the suspect Wednesday as Brian Rhodes, age 44 of North Wilkesboro. Rhodes is charged with assault on a school employee and now has a court date in Yadkin County District Court on May 14.
