Wilkes County Man Arrested On Murder Charge

A Wilkes County man was arrested on Monday and charged with the shooting death of a Kernersville woman found Sunday morning.

36-year old Donald Ray Lassiter was taken into custody in the Ronda Community and taken to the Wilkes Detention Facility.

The killing was reported around 4:30 a.m at an Elkin address in Wilkes County. Wilkes Deputies found Stephanie Nicole Hatton, 25, of Kernersville, dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
