Wilkes County Fire Victim Identified

The body of a woman who was found in a camper fire in Wilkes County has been identified.

Marcia Harrison Houck, age 71 of West Jefferson, was found dead in a burned-out camper on the morning of Tuesday, November 12th according to the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire was reported off Water Fall Road in Millers Creek.

The investigation remains active by the Wilkes County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
