A Wilkes County couple was found dead from gunshot wounds Friday evening.
The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office has not released the names of the man and woman found at a residence on Old Railroad Grade Road in the Thurmond Community near the Surry County line.
The SBI is assisting in the investigation.
Monday, August 22nd. The Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office has identified the couple found deceased as 57-year old Donna Marie Varn and Darryl Bullay, 62.
