Wike Leads Alexander Central To Rout Over St Stephens

Alexander Central 66 St Stephens 39

Taylorsville: Alexander Central stopped a two-game losing streak Thursday night with a rout of St Stephens. The Lady Cougars never trailed and outscored the visitors in all four quarters. Meredith Wike had 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to pace AC. She went 8 of 16 from behind the 3-point arc. Malayah Adams had 9 points and 10 assists. Kennedy Blevins scored 33 of the Indians 39 points. ACHS improved to 4-2 while St Stephens drop to 2-4.

Men

St Stephens 64 Alexander Central 48

Noah VanBeurden (26) and Javian White (19) combined for 45 points and the Tribe cruised to victory. The game had 6 early lead changes but the visitors took over in the 2nd quarter outscoring AC 23-11. Jayon Connor topped the Cougars who fall to 2-4 with 29 points and 17 rebounds. The win improves St Stephens to 3-3.
