A Vale man is behind bars after his arrest on Tuesday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. 32-year old Richard Allen Champion was served arrest warrants after he missed a series of court dates. The original charges include possession of a firearm by a felon, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Champion is being held in the Catawba County Jail with a secured bond of $27,000. No court date is listed.
