On Thursday, April 6th, North Wilkesboro Police received a call of shoplifting at the NAPA store on D Street. The caller advised the suspects left the business after stealing power tools.
The suspect vehicle was spotted attempted to stop the vehicle on Wilkesboro Boulevard near Cherry Street. The suspects failed to stop, traveling across the bridge into Wilkesboro, down Main Street and ending on a dead end portion of North Street. Other Officers from North Wilkesboro Police as well as Wilkesboro Police responded.
Taken into custody was 42-year old Trineice Hayden of Winston-Salem. He’s been charged with Felony Flee to Elude arrest, Felony Possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule IV controlled substance, Felony Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana ,Felony Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Larceny, Possession of stolen property, Fail to heed light and siren and Reckless driving with wanton disregard.
24-year old Christopher Jones of Winston-Salem is charged with Felony Possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule IV controlled substances, Felony Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, Felony Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Larceny and Possession of stolen property.
Both suspects were placed in the Wilkes County Detention Center with bond of $25,000 each. The vehicle used in the pursuit from police was seized under the N.C. “Run and Done” General Statute.
