Two children are reported dead after a fire in Southwest Hickory. According to various reports, the fire broke out at a mobile home on 16th Street SW Saturday afternoon.
Emergency personnel remained on the scene Saturday into the night. The children were said to be a girl and boy. Reports indicate the children were ages 7 and 8.
The SBI is assisting in the investigation.
