Additional charges have been filed in the ongoing murder investigation, which occurred on Home Drive near Mooresville on Saturday, March 9.
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit Investigators have arrested and charged Ashlee Louise Klepfer, age 40 of Troutman. Klepfer is the wife of the deceased suspect, Justin Strawser.
Homicide Investigators obtained evidence in the case, which determined Ashlee Klepfer had some involvement by aiding her husband after the homicides were committed. Investigators also determined Klepfer allowed the four juveniles inside her home at 1580 Ostwalt Amity Road to have access to firearms during the standoff.
On Tuesday, Homicide Investigators obtained arrest warrants for Klepfer, charging her with Felony Accessory after the Fact, Four Counts of Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Four Counts of Failure to Secure Firearms from a Minor. They then began to
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team deputies located Klepfer and arrested her during a traffic stop in Statesville. Also, in the vehicle with Klepfer was a 15-year-old male juvenile who was found in possession of a loaded handgun and Methamphetamine.
The juvenile was also taken into custody, and a secure custody order was issued by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Ashlee Klepfer was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where she was charged with Felony Accessory After the Fact, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Five Counts Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Four Counts Misdemeanor Fail to Secure Firearm from a Minor.Ashlee Louise Klepfer is being held in the Iredell County Detention Center without bond.
