A weekend stabbing is under investigation in Troutman.
On Saturday around 11:20 pm, Troutman Police responded to the report of an individual suffering a stab injury in the parking lot of 152 South Main Street.
Officers found a victim suffering a serious hemorrhage from his femoral artery. The officer applied a tourniquet to the male victim’s leg while awaiting the arrival of EMS. The investigation determined that three individuals had become involved in a verbal argument that led to a physical confrontation.
During the incident one of the individuals used a knife to stab the victim. The male subject was transported to a regional trauma center where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
