TAYLORSVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will activate traffic signals at an Alexander County intersection on Monday, Feb. 16.
Crews installed signals at the N.C. 16 and Millersville Road intersection after development in the area led to increased traffic. “Adding signals to this intersection will improve traffic flow and enhance safety on one of Alexander County’s major thoroughfares,” said Barry Cross, deputy division traffic engineer for Alexander and five other counties in the North Carolina foothills.
The signals will remain in a flashing mode until they are activated Monday morning.
