Three Drug Traffickers Convicted And Sentenced In Caldwell County

After a lengthy investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Lenoir Police, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security, Caldwell County Sheriff Kevin Bean announces sentencing of 3 drug traffickers from Lenoir.

Thomas Anzel Burgess

Thomas Anzel Burgess, age 44, was recently sentenced to 13 yrs and 3 months in prison for Trafficking Schedule I Controlled Substance. During the investigation, narcotics agents seized over 450 grams of fentanyl having a street value at over $268,000.

James Eugene Moore Jr

James Eugene Moore Jr, age 50, was sentenced to 35-51 months for Trafficking Cocaine. During the investigation, narcotics agents seized 50 grams of cocaine, 380 fentanyl pills, 8 grams of marijuana, with a street value of over $21,000.

Zachary George Stephenson

Zachary George Stephenson, age 31, was recently sentenced to 13 yrs and 3 months for Trafficking Schedule II Controlled Substance.
