A juvenile has been charged with a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Mooresville woman.
The teen’s name and age were not released.
Mooresville Police Officers responded to the scene of a crash on Rocky River Road between Milroy Lane and Royalton Road.at 12:02 a.m. on Sunday, September 15. A female had been struck by a vehicle which left the scene. Shaelyn Ellen Bell, 20, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The juvenile is charged with with felony hit and run, misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, misdemeanor provisional license violation after 9 p.m., and misdemeanor use of a mobile device by someone less than 18 years of age.
