17 year old Christian Tyler Maschefzky of Catawba was arrested Sunday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with simple assault, assault on a handicapped person, assault with a deadly weapon, injury to personal property, and communicating threats. Maschefzky was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $5,000. He will make an initial court appearance on January, 14th in Newton.
