Dexton Markez Banner, 29, of Pennell Lane in Taylorsville, was arrested Monday evening by the Hickory Police Department. He was charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Banner was also served warrants from the Taylorsville Police Department for shoplifting/concealment of goods and larceny. As of earlier this morning, Banner remains in the Catawba County Detention Center with bond set for $13,500. A Newton court appearance is scheduled for today.
