Teri Michelle Pitts
On Thursday, 35-year old Teri Michelle Pitts was taken into custody and charged with felony negligent child abuse resulting in serious physical injury. The child ingested drugs but has recovered according to Sheriff Chad Pennell. Pitts was also charged with felony probation violation and is being held without bond in the Alexander County Detention Center.
Pitts has a long list of previous convictions in Alexander and Catawba County for felony trafficking methamphetamine, obtaining property by false pretense, burglary, forgery, financial card fraud and assault on a government official.
