Sharika Shani Smith Godfrey, age 42 of Taylorsville, is being held in Catawba County custody. She was arrested on Saturday by authorities in Alexander County and served out-of-county warrants. Godfrey is charged with domestic criminal trespass and a pair of violations of a domestic violence protection order. As of earlier today she remains in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $10,000. A court date is scheduled for November 18th in Newton.
