The body of a black male was found this morning in Taylorsville.
Taylorsville Police Chief Michael Millsaps says a call was received at 9:46 am indicating a black male subject was located behind the Habitat For Humanity Re-Store in West Taylorsville. The caller said the person was not responsive.
Officers along with Alexander County EMS responded to the scene.
Millsaps said there is no evidence of foul-play at this point but an autopsy will be performed. “The body had been there for a couple days, maybe more. We can’t release the name of victim yet” according to Chief Millsaps.
A family member has identified the man found as 30-year old Kenneth Matthw Partee. Partee was known around the community as “Marley.”
