An Alexander County woman is back in custody following her arrest on Tuesday evening. Taylorsville Police charged 32-year-old Shakyra Lashay Smith, Martin Luther King DR., Taylorsville, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving with license revoked. The suspect is already on pre-trial release for offenses that include 12 counts of felony insurance fraud, 3 counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and resisting arrest. Due to those charges Smith is ordered to serve a 48 hour hold before bond if any is set.
