On Tuesday, March 21st, Taylorsville Police were alerted that a male subject was at the Office of Probation and Parole and was suspected to be in possession of drugs. Officers responded and arrested 29-year old Jonathan Ray Cutler of Statesville based on items found in his vehicle. They charged him with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cutler was taken before an Alexander County Magistrate and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $50,000 and was scheduled to make an Alexander County District Court appearance on Monday.
Cutler has a list of pending charges in Iredell County that include felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of marijuana and felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling or place for controlled substance.
