Taylorsville Police Officer Involved In Friday Crash

A Taylorsville Police officer was involved in a roadway collision Friday afternoon near Alexander Central High School. Police Chief Dennis James confirmed that officer Chasity Hamby was exiting the high school campus onto Liledoun Road when she collided with another vehicle. Neither Hamby or the driver of the other vehicle suffered any serious injuries according to James, who said both vehicles were damaged significantly.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
